Our coordinating committee has expanded!

We are so happy to introduce Omayra Pumalpa who joined EMBRACe in January 2024 to teach our Spanish-language childbirth education classes. Omayra, originally from Ecuador, moved from Colorado to North Carolina in 2022. Omayra was a successful lawyer in Ecuador who was able to utilize her skills to help women experiencing domestic violence and teach leadership skills to at-risk youth. She likes acting, singing, dancing and baking delicious sourdough bread. Her humor, warmth, and courage have been an amazing addition to our team. If you get lucky, she might bake you some of her famous bread!
